Profile of the Artist :

Dr Mohan Rao is the composer  and singer of the Album " Kya Mijaaz  hai" it is a collection of seven numbers each different in its genre and treatment.

Mohan was born in Purushottam Palli  in West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh , his father Late Shri Acharyulu was a stage artist ,an accomplished Astrologer and "Vastu exponent".

Mohan got an MBA (Marketing) degree from Andhra University , Visakha Patnam and later on a Doctorate from Vikram University ,Ujjain the city of the sacred Jyotirling.

Mohan had set two goals for himself in life , one was to reach the coveted service of the country i.e. Indian Administrative Service .He  succeeded in this endeavour by the dent of his hard work and dedication .In public service ,he served the Madhya Pradesh  State  in various important  capacities  and when posted in District  Dewas as the Collector & District Magistrate ,he took up the challenge of combating the water crisis. He pioneered a mass movement and took up various water conservation and ground water recharging measures including a cost effective and efficient " Roof top Rain Water Harvesting Structure ". This won him the first prize at the "India International Trade Fair" held in New Delhi in the year 2000.  

The second goal in life was to be a recognised as a " Singer and Composer" . After learning basics of music from his father ,he has been singing on numerous occasions and also won prizes in singing competitions at School ,College and University levels.

He is an accomplished composer and composes tunes vocally and gets inspired by Emotions and Nature .He has a bank of new compositions of various genres and aims to continue to nurture this goal with new and fresh tunes all the time.

Mohan is married to an "Indian Police Services" Officer ,his batchmate and soulmate Aruna Rao. She has also supported his artistic endeavours  and has penned the lyrics of the Album.They are  blessed with one son "Tanmay Rao".

In future  ,Mohan has plans of coming  up with  an Audio Album reciting  & explaining some important "Slokas of  the Bhagavadgeeta" and a Video Album on "Yoga".
